OUR STORY

In 2014, Alan, Truc, Kat and Pete opened their first store in Summer Hill, NSW –bringing bold, authentic Vietnamese street food to Sydney’s Inner West. Saigon was the city that inspired them. Summer Hill, the suburb they called home.

The idea was rooted in Truc’s love of streetfood, born from her university days in Ho Chi Minh City – eating her way through the city’s laneways.

Family was everything – Mum supplying fresh mint from her garden and the recipes themselves based on a collection of the family’s favourite dishes.

Authenticity was never optional.
Furniture and utensils, were all shipped to Sydney from Vietnam, recreating an immersive street food experience.

Twelve years on, Saigon Summer has grown from a single tuck-shop to seven locations across Sydney.

 

The mission hasn’t changed: to bring Vietnam to the people, one store at a time.
